Technology You Can't Live Without. Hard though it is to imagine life without a washing machine, fridge or toaster, broadband is the technology we value most. We no longer need to know how to do things like read a map because a sat nav will direct us to.

Ah, too terrible to think back. We bring digital cameras with us everywhere (they're even part of most cell phones!), and take photos of everything. Those things drive me nuts. I think it's quite natural.
